Terms for listed businesses
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms are between Colligo Infotech ("we", "us"), which provides Ekvasa, and the business, shop or person that lists itself in Nearby businesses on Ekvasa ("the business"). The business accepts them when it signs up. They are separate from the terms the housing societies and residents who use Ekvasa accept.
1. Who can list
- A business can list if it lawfully offers goods or services to households and the person signing up is an adult who can accept these terms for it.
- Each business has one account and one listing.
- The details given at sign-up, including the name, the contact person, the mobile number, the email address and the GSTIN if the business has one, must be true and kept up to date.
- We may refuse a sign-up, or end an account, for a reason we give where we can.
2. What a listing is
- Nearby businesses is a tab in the Ekvasa app. A housing society’s office decides whether its residents see it.
- A listing shows the business name, its category, a short description, its hours, a photo if given, its star rating, a Call button and a Report button, under the words "Listed by the business for a fee. Your society has not checked it."
- A listing shows only in a society whose office has switched the tab on, and only when the shop is within the distance the business chose and the distance the society chose. A society whose office has not given a map pin is matched by pin code instead.
- A society’s office may hide a listing from its own residents at any time and without giving a reason. Hiding it does not affect other societies.
- We do not check, recommend or vouch for any business. We do not promise any number of views, calls, customers or work.
3. Truthful listings
- The name, category, description, hours, number, photo, map pin, radius and pin codes must be true, current and the business’s own.
- The photo must be of the business or its work, not of another business or person, and must not be offensive or misleading.
- The business must hold every licence, registration and permission its goods or services need, for example for food or medicines, and follow the law.
- The business must not give a false rating, ask others to give one, or try to lower a rival’s rating.
4. The fee and GST
- A new listing has thirty days at no charge from the day of sign-up. No card is needed for that time.
- After that a flat monthly fee is charged for the listing, plus GST. The amount is shown on the sign-up and billing pages before any charge.
- The fee is taken on the Ekvasa website, through Razorpay. It is never taken in the app. A tax invoice is issued by Colligo Infotech for each charge.
- The fee is for the listing only. It is not for work, enquiries, customers or a place in the list.
- If a charge fails, the listing may stop showing when the period already charged ends.
- A fee change applies only as section 13 says, and never to a period already charged.
5. Renewal and stopping
- The listing renews each month until the business stops it.
- The business can stop at any time on the billing page of its account on the Ekvasa website. Nothing is charged after that. The listing stays until the period already charged ends, then it is removed.
- We may stop offering Nearby businesses, with notice to the businesses listed. We then charge nothing for any period after the stop.
6. No refunds
Fees are due in advance for each month and are not refundable. Nothing already charged is returned when a business stops, or when we remove a listing. If we find a clear error, such as a charge taken twice, we may refund it at our own discretion. More in our refund and cancellation policy.
7. Order of the list
The list is ordered by distance, then by rating, then by name. It is never ordered by money. A place in it cannot be bought, and no fee gives a business a higher place.
8. Reports and removal
- Residents can report a listing. We may hide, suspend or remove a listing, and block an account, at any time, if residents report it, if its details are false or misleading, if the business breaks these terms or the law, or if it treats residents badly.
- We give the reason where we can. Removal for these reasons does not give a right to a refund.
- A business whose listing is removed may write to support@ekvasa.com to ask us to look again.
9. Resident details
- We give the business a resident’s details only for a visit that resident asks for, as section 10 says. Otherwise the business sees only counts: views, calls and the number of societies that show the listing.
- When a resident calls, the business may use that resident’s number only to answer that call or enquiry. It must not store, sell, share or use it to market, and must follow the law on personal data.
- The business must not try to find out who looked at its listing.
10. Visit requests
- A resident can ask a business for a visit in one of the slots the business has set. A visit request is an appointment between the resident and the business. Colligo Infotech and Ekvasa are not a party to it.
- Ekvasa gives no quote, and no payment passes through Ekvasa. The business and the resident agree any cost between themselves.
- The business keeps the slots it accepts. It may decline a request, and it gives a reason. When it accepts, the resident’s home gets a pass for the slot and the society’s guard expects the business at the gate.
- The business sees the resident’s first name, home and note, and the mobile number only if the resident chose to share it. These details are for that visit only. The business must not keep them longer than the visit needs, share them, sell them or use them for marketing or any other purpose, and must follow the law on personal data.
- Repeated no-shows or complaints may lead us to hide, suspend or remove the listing, as section 8 says.
11. Payments between residents and businesses
- Any payment for a visit or for work is a direct UPI payment from the resident to the business, made in the resident’s own UPI app and outside Ekvasa.
- A business may add its UPI ID to its listing. The UPI ID must be the business’s own.
- Colligo Infotech and Ekvasa are not a party to any such payment. We do not hold, collect, route or see it, we take no share or commission from it, and we do not refund, reverse or guarantee it. A dispute about a payment is between the resident and the business, and the resident may take it up with their bank.
- A resident sees the Pay by UPI button only after the time of an accepted visit has passed, and only while the listing is in good standing: its fee is settled, or the business has three completed visits and no open report.
- A business must not ask a resident for money in advance, before the visit. If it does, or if the UPI ID is not its own, we may hide or remove the listing and block the account, as section 8 says. A listing with three open reports is hidden until we have looked at them.
12. Work between a business and a resident
Colligo Infotech and Ekvasa are not a party to any work, sale, agreement or dispute between a business and a resident or a society. We take no money for the business’s work, give no quotes, hold no deposits and give no guarantee. We are not responsible for the quality, cost, safety or timing of any work. A resident deals with the business at their own judgement, and the business is responsible to the resident for its goods and services, its taxes and its insurance.
13. Changes
We may change these terms or the fee. We tell the business at least thirty days before a change takes effect, by email to the address on its account and on this page. A business that does not agree can stop before the change takes effect.
14. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim from a business is limited to the fees we charged that business in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for lost work or income.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are first raised with us at support@ekvasa.com; if not resolved within 30 days, the courts of Ahmedabad have jurisdiction.
